FAQs

  • If you’re unsure about whether therapy services are appropriate for your child, we offer a free consultation to help you decide. This consultation is a 15-minute phone call with one of our therapists, where you can discuss your observations and any specific questions you may have. During the call, the therapist will ask about your child’s development, address any concerns you might have, and provide recommendations for the next steps, which may include a complete evaluation.

  • We work with children of all ages, from birth to 18.

  • The price of our services varies based on the type and length of service. Please get in touch with us for more information.

  • We are not in-network with any insurance plans. However, we are able to provide the necessary documentation and assist with submissions for out-of-network reimbursement. This can help reduce your cost depending on your plan's specific benefits.

Many families with the following insurance plans successfully use their out-of-network benefits: Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Empire Blue Cross, Oxford, Aetna, United, Emblem Health, and Multi Plan.

  • 1. No referral is needed. You do not need a referral from your child’s pediatrician or another physician for occupational and speech-language evaluation and therapy services.

    2. Individualized services. With private pay services, sessions can be child-focused and family-centered! Every aspect of the therapy can be customized to your child’s specific needs. This can include one-on-one sessions, parent coaching, collaboration with other professionals, and IEP consultations

    3. Flexible sessions. Unlike insurance plans, which may limit the number of sessions based on predetermined criteria, private pay therapy offers flexibility in the number and type of sessions based on your child’s evolving needs.

    4. Family Involvement. Parents can participate in therapy sessions and receive training and carry-over activities. With private pay services, every detail is personalized, and we can tailor sessions to the needs of both the child and the family.

  • Our services take place in your home, in a community space (such as a park, playground, or library), and virtually.

In-home and community-based therapy has many benefits:

    • Providing therapy in environments where your child feels most comfortable—like their home or familiar community spaces—can help them engage more easily with new people and activities. A trusted setting can boost their confidence and enhance their participation in therapy.

    • When working with a child in their own home, we can use your child’s toys and typical routines, such as mealtime and playtime, during the therapy sessions. Parents and children can then easily replicate and practice the skills they learned during the session throughout the week.

  • Yes, we offer teletherapy through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform.

  • While we understand that illnesses and emergencies occur, we respectfully request that you avoid frequent cancelations or “no-shows.” To avoid a late cancellation fee equivalent to the full session cost, please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. For more details, refer to the cancellation policy included in your intake paperwork.
